Congressman Pete Visclosky meets with students, faculty, and staff from IUN on Capitol Hill on March 15th. The students enjoyed breakfast with the Congressman and discussed various legislative items of interest to northwest Indiana citizens including affordable housing, public transportation, and the revitalization of the steel industry.
Director of National Intelligence and IU Alumnus Dan Coats is being introduced by Nicholas Bragin of the Walter Center for Career Achievement in IU’s Washington DC office. Director Coats met with students participating in the Walter Center’s Career Trek, a program which permitted students to discover and connect with Washington area alumni, organizations, and professionals during Spring Break 2018.

Senator Donnelly, a member of the Senate Aging Committee, worked to bring Executive Director of the Hall Center for Law and Health at IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Professor of Law Nicolas Terry to Washington on May 23, 2018 to testify before the committee about prevention and treatment of opioid abuse among older Americans.
